As a child, Genevi\u00e8ve always had a pencil in her hand. She tirelessly admired each new box of Prismacolor pencils. Growing up, after her university studies, she worked as an industrial designer for three years, but quickly returned to drawing. Illustration has become the dream career for her and has completed several contracts in various fields. <\/span><\/p>\n

The chances of life led her to take a professional break to go and enjoy her maternity leave in Europe in 2003. She spent 3 years in Paris and Italy where she took the opportunity to visit various children’s book fairs. <\/span><\/p>\n

For more than twenty years, she has illustrated more than forty albums, some of which have been translated into ten languages. She has been rewarded many times in various competitions, including the Prix des Libraires du Qu\u00e9bec, the Governor General’s Literary Award of Canada, the Elizabeth Mrazik-Cleaver Canadian Picture Book Award (Canada), the Prix Chronos (France) and more recently the Incorruptibles Award (France). She signed her first book as an author and illustrator and now has several other projects awaiting her words. She lives on the South Shore of Montreal with her family and her dog and she spends part of her summers by the sea, getting inspiration in Les Escoumins, on the Saitn-Laurence River.<\/span><\/p>\n
